Wedding Recap- Part 3- Getting Ready

This would not be a true wedding recap if I didn't talk about getting ready for the big day.  I woke up bright and early to make a 7:30 hair appointment.  It was insane, but I have a LOT of hair!  I could not imagine dealing with a bad hair day for the wedding!  Luckily I was in good hands for the day- the same lady who introduced me to my hubby was my hair stylist for the day.

I had a special visitor come see us- it was kind of a big day for my dad too!

Once my hair was done, my mom and I drove to the hotel.  My mom is my original best friend and it was so nice to be able to spend this time together.  She kept me calm while I was positive that i was going in the wrong direction and when I felt a little pukish and needed some gatorade.  That's what moms are for!

I can't say I was nervous, but I did feel like I was going to pass out due to lack of food.  My maid of honor hooked me up with some chocolate and orange juice- that made me a very happy girl!

Once I was all done up, it was time to get dressed!

It took me all of 2 minutes to get dressed- I was so proud of myself that I didn't  notice I had not secured the side of my dress.  I needed help, and I needed it BAD!  I had so many hands on my gluteus maximus, it felt like Spring Break all over again- well, if I ever went on Spring Break.

Some tweezers, a few 4-letter words, and a lot of helping hands later, I was dressed and ready to do my thang!

Of course we took some bridal party pictures first, and ran 15 minutes behind.  Not too bad after all that work!

The answer is yes- I did pick my party based on looks!  Actually, these are my 4 closest friends and they are all gorgeous too!

You are all probably wondering what the groom did to get ready?  He showered that morning. And put on a tuxedo.  And looked like a frieken GQ model for the rest of the day.

I loved getting ready- it was one of the best parts that day, plus the anticipation was killing me!
